During this hands-on class, you will learn how to prepare the dough, make the fillings, roll the štruklji correctly and cook them under the guidance of our chef.

The workshop includes the preparation of two varieties:

  • Sweet tarragon štruklji filled with cottage cheese and aromatic tarragon, served with warm vanilla sauce and forest berries.

Potica is Slovenia’s best-known festive pastry and an important part of the country’s culinary heritage. It is made from rolled yeast dough filled with ingredients such as walnuts, tarragon, hazelnuts, poppy seeds or cottage cheese.

During the workshop, you will learn how to prepare the dough, make the fillings, roll the potica and achieve its characteristic spiral shape.

First Course – Cold Appetizer

Marinated Slovenian trout with apple, horseradish, dill oil and a buckwheat crisp.

Second Course – Hands-On Štruklji Workshop

Guests prepare two traditional varieties of Slovenian rolled dumplings:

Fifth Course – Dessert

A contemporary interpretation of Prekmurska gibanica, combining its traditional layers of poppy seeds, cottage cheese, walnuts and apples with a warm vanilla sauce.
